Description

Historic 1972 Iron Man battle page from Iron Man #53. Two months before he made comic book history introducing Thanos in Iron Man #55, legendary artist Jim Starlin penciled his very first published superhero page in Iron Man #53, this very page! George Tuska drew most of #53 but Starlin drew three pages in the issue with this page, 18 as the first to appear.

On the page, Iron Man battles the Black Lama (A mysterious mystic from another reality designated Earth-7511) who has the power of inter-dimensional transport, and Raga, Son of Fire, a disciple to the Black Lama.  This issue also featured the 1st appearance of the Black Lama and only the 2nd appearance of Son of Fire.

A very nice Iron Man battle page with great historic significance.
